  5. I do believe it will be another nail biter tomorrow for Pitt. GT is either very hot or very lucky right now. In either lets not hope they are either of those two tomorrow.

    1. They shot 37.7% (20/53) and 8/27 (<30%) from 3. They were 13/18 from the line. That’s not hot. FSU was cold and GT got the foul calls.

  6. For what it’s worth, GT only used one player off their bench and he only played 7 minutes. Their starting five played essentially the entire game and will have less than 24 hours rest. I know, grasping for straws. That was however GT’s fourth win in a row. That’s a lot of momentum, lots of confidence compared to our situation.

  8. Elliot is due for a big game. Pitt needs to run them out of the gym, and press them from the start. Make them work hard in the first half. Use the twins and Santos a lot and keep them running until they are spent.

  9. I absolutely love the ACC Tourney. Watched 47 out of the last 52 of them on the tube. And this year I got a kind of tingly feeling/intuition that if Pitt can get by GT things could get Epic.

    1. Heckuva comeback, but it should not have been needed in the first place.
      Sometimes they just look sloppy or distinterested in playing both ends of the rink.
      Accidentally passed 3 pucks out of the offensive zone on the same PP.
      The deserved the boos they got earlier as much as the cheers they got in OT.

  20. I have been thinking to myself (isnore thinking LOL) what Pitt team will show up to play today? Buton’s locker room meeting was badly needed to get everyone moving forward …so, do we play up to our ability in which case GTech is toast or do we play tight and head to the NIT?

  21. so for all you conspiracy guys out there(I’m one a bit), I think it’s likely we win no matter how we play or shoot so as to guarantee Pitt a bid to the tournament with a win which earns the ACC another share of the pie

    I think each bid gets a share then more with each win in the tournament

    unless the ACC thinks/knows Pitt is in and wants to get GaTech the auto bid when they march through and win it all 😦

    so, no worries for Pitt either way, right?

    feeling good either way but let’s not take any chances and just win!!!

  22. This team plays defense sporadically, doesn’t rebound well
    and the entire offense is based on hitting threes. They appear exhausted and you can see it in their legs. So…. If our threes are falling, we can beat anyone, if not, we can lose to anyone! H2P

  23. I have no idea what to expect, but hold hope as a players only meeting can help a well-functioning, team-first group get the focus required.

    I will be at the eye doctor during the 2nd half. They won’t appreciate me wearing ear buds… dang.
