First of all, congratulations to Missing WLAT for finding a kidney donor and having his surgery scheduled. And thanks to all the POV fans who supported him through this time. I’ve been actively involved (in person, i.e. attending games) with the POV for less than a year and the community has truly made me feel like family, and I think that extends to pretty much anyone who shows up at the tailgate and has a true love for Pitt and that a big part of what makes this blog a special place. It certainly applies to Eric (i.e. Missing WLAT) and we are all grateful to hear the good news about him.

- I did read Chris Peak’s 3-2-1 column a few days ago and I found it informative as always. Here he breaks down the schedule and gives a little bit of history regarding our ACC Coastal foes. Turns out Narduzzi does pretty well against most of them. Link here
- Things are relatively quiet on PSN. Here is a piece that was probably inspired by some of the chatter on this blog about Pitt’s overall sports Learfield Cup ranking (i.e. dead last.) Alan Saunders quotes AD Heather Lyke:“It’s one measure. It’s a competitive measure, right? So it doesn’t measure the quality of our student-athlete experience and the amount of life skills, mentoring and development that we put in, career enhancement. It doesn’t measure your academic success and graduation success rates and things like that. But it certainly measures competitive success.
