Guess the message on defensive rebounding all week fell on deaf ears. Looks Like GT players actually listened. I get we are smaller than some teams but much of what we see today and against Duke is “want to”….at least to my eyes
FF has no idea how to finish at the hoop or post up. If he did we would be a top 20 team by the end of February. I hope he works hard on that in the off season. Next season we’ll have 1-2 good PG’s and an inside game. I’m excited already…
Very happy to see Pitt BB is back. Say what you will about Capel, but the guy can recruit.
There were more than a handful of times that G D-Graham and Fede were wide open underneath and I was wondering why they weren’t fed. Then they dumped it to Fede and he lost it, so it began to make sense.
Fede and Diaz-Graham need to really bulk up and work on hand strength in the off season.
Great potential to be realized ith some hard work. Maybe get Blair to help them learn some moves to the hoop.
Hopefully the portal will be good to Capel again next year. Burton and Sibande were outstanding today with a few good minutes from Cummings. Hopefully Hinson and Elliott get hot again soon.
me! c’mon man, my kid’s there for his last semester and while I didn’t like him rooting against Pitt’s WVB v Tech while he was here on break, I thought he’d see a n entertaining game
he’s a Pitt fan for everything else and has attended many Pitt MBB games over the years
hey, didn’t someone say Tech had 2 good players not at 100% or not play?
We had a rough start to the season. Since then this has been a solid team. Even in the two ACC losses, we were in those games to the end. We’re not elite, but this team is fun to watch. Sit back and enjoy the ride! H2P
Burton! Saw these amazing numbers for Burton in a PSN article:
“In conference play, Burton is now averaging 20.3 points, 3.7 assists, and 4.7 rebounds per game while shooting 54% from the field, 42% from three, and 89% from the free-throw line.”
Kinda explains why Coach is liking the spread-the-floor and go one-on-one with Burton approach…
the twin GDG is proving adequate to fill the role to give FF a break, wish the other could too as if and when foul trouble becomes an issue, we will be in trouble
Nick Santos helped with good minutes again, needs to continue
Elliott still missing but great to see him have some success driving and he’s continuing to give rebounding effort
I’m very glad I was wrong about this game, it is tough to win on the road and I thought our small slide might have shaken this team’s confidence
Trying to figure out the line up for next year is pretty difficult. Many of the players are graduating or are eligible to leave. And we don’t know for sure if Dior or Hugely will return. Plus we can probably count on a couple more transfers coming in. Not exactly a settled program.
OT – six different ACC FB teams were active with top 30 transfer portal WR’s this past month according to On3.com
VT snagged the #2 ranked portal receiver and #24
Louisville #7 and #19
UNC #11 and #12
BC #29
All of these four teams are on Pitt’s 2023 schedule.
UVA #13 portal receiver
GT #20 and #30
Neither of these two are on our schedule for 2023 – disappointing cause UVA should still be down and we need the revenge game with GT sooner rather than later.
We do have Florida State on our schedule who is loaded with WR and TE talent. They are loaded with talent everywhere – they have a projected 1st round draft pick at DT coming back for another year of college ball when he could make NFL 1st round money in 2023.
The timing of transfers also makes a difference. Players transferring now can enroll in the spring semester and go to spring ball. Players entering the portal later will need to wait for fall camp. Pitt may be waiting on new transfers that must enter the portal by May 1 to play in the fall.
Who coaches the Pitt big men? Hugely showed improvement but we saw zero progress from Terrell Brown in has time at Pitt. No improvement in rebounding and scoring. Was it him or crap development? We will know next year as their is much to work with on the roster. We will also learn if the S&C coach is any good.
Georgetown has seemed to show little progress under the coaching of Patrick Ewing so….
and of course we all know great players don’t necessarily mean good coaches or good anything else
.
one thing I’d noticed about Nike from the start of the season is he looks like he has put on weight and strength this year so IF that was any bit related to the current S&C coach, it could be a great sign for what could happen with the twins and others
of course maybe I’m imagining that he looks bigger because when he plays well everything looks closer to perfect 🙂
Really good points, under Jamie we saw several big men go from poor to average to good.
Brown was an enigma, but I think it was his non agressive nature that held him back.
I think that Fede and the twins have much more upside and they seem to be developing as we watch. If there is a big man camp, similar to the Manning QB camp they need to attend.
One other thing, it seems that none of the guys that have left Pitt under Capel have really had great success since, so probably not poor coaching.
Still a lot of griping about Capel’s coaching but he has done a great job putting this group together and getting them to play like a team. With Pitt it is always what might have been with Hugley and DJ, but all in all really good results so far. Especially since it is point guard by committee and no offense big men, no offense intended.
There is great potential for next year if Hugley and DJ stick around, with three solid freshman coming, development by Fede and the twins and probable Portal guys but nothing carved in stone.
In any case if you haven’t been to the Pete lately you are missing a great Pitt experience.
He wasn’t taught or refused to use any post moves. If he couldn’t slam it, he couldn’t score. There should be a Kevin McCale big man camp to teach physically limited players how to score with post moves, LOL.
he doesn’t seem to have the energy on the defensive side while his body would suggest otherwise and that’s not to say he’s a liability but not what I’d expect
he has gotten smarter avoiding fouls which was a problem for him early in the year as it was with JB and Fede and while each has improved on D, Fede has excelled!
well, maybe his body doesn’t say he should have energy, rather ability to take up space, rebound and defend with power and physicality as much as anyone
We’re 3/4 through the season. Hinson is who he is. Some guys are just thicc. He’s way more of an asset than liability. You live with the flaws. He’s been a very good player for us. No complaints. He’ll have a full year in our offseason conditioning program going into next year. I’d expect less schmedium in 23′-24′.
He has been injured and sat out for two seasons, agree that he is a big asset, no pun intended. Just think that off season conditioning could make him reach another level.
Get him to train with AD.
There should be a second wave of football transfers who come out of their spring practices realizing a change of scenery is needed. By then Pitt’s needs will be better known and they could hopefully get a few of them.
Clemson fans rushed the court when they beat Duke yesterday, pretty funny. I agree Hinson’s missed foul shots were the difference in the Clemson game. He has been clanking a lot off the front rim lately. Need to make sure the other guys get fouled late in the game.
Another veer back to the transfer portal WR options – there are (3) intriguing big receivers from blue blood programs ranked 47, 48 & 49 according to On3.com – all former 4 star HS talents.
Agiye Hall SO from Texas 6’3” 195lbs played HS in FL
Malik McClain SO from Florida State 6’4” 195lbs played HS in FL
Kyle Ford RS JR from USC Trojans 6’2” 210lbs played HS in CA
I know some think we need a speedy receiver who can go deep – I think Bud Means and Nwabuko FR from TX fit that profile.
So far no word from LB Simon and RB C’bo, both transfer SR’s from Notre Dame who have a COVID year left if the choose. I believe we need both to come back and to be more productive than they were in 2022. Simon had a few games with zero tackles and C’bo had more game where he never saw an offensive snap than games played.
Pitt has (5) key starting holes to fill on D – two safeties, one MLB and two DE’s and two key starters on O – one RB and one WR. Simon and C’bo would help with depth at MLB and RB.
Forgot the QB Erie. That is big. Either Jurkovec is an upgrade, or we could have problems. He needs to be a healthy upgrade.
Interesting portal comment. Cephas reported NIL at 17k.
There is a freshman transfer from Nebraska, Decoldest (what a first name), with an 84k NIL, who is down to us and Vandy. Kyle Williams, WR from UNLV with a 6k NIL also close. I think they are waiting to see what happens with Cephas. Could be a long wait. If you are Pitt, you need to get one of those two. I always pick da coldest beer, so you gotta lean that way!
Huff – to me Jurkovich and Slovis are similar in talent level. I like the two back-ups in CV and NY. CV told the media that he did not come to Pitt to sit on the bench. Unfortunately Duzz may have promised PJ the QB1 job, sight unseen.
I hope there is a real QB competition – I think last season tells us otherwise, but we can still hope.
Regarding the WR portal catch, we should make sure there is a warm body or two in time to learn the playbook for Spring camp.
Oh my, no Rick. Unless PJ is severely limited due to injury there is no comparison. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised, but I am a big fan of CV also. The skill set Phil has is impressive. I’m way beyond happy with the qb room.
Not surprisingly given our recent past, Coach Capel has emphasized “team,” and being a good teammate, from the start this season. Seems to be working based on what we’re seeing on the floor.
And in his post-game press conference, Coach said he was going to start Sibande to begin the second half yesterday. But Sibande suggested that Coach start Elliott instead…
Good point, and he might upset the chemistry. You would also be taking PT away from one of the seniors, who have all been good at times. Let’s hope he sticks with Pitt and has an exceptional next year.
If this was my article (Michaelangelo wrote it), I would say no. He’s the one who wanted money in a duffle bag. I just respond to commentors problems with WP.
For this year when Elliott and Hinson are hitting 3’s and mid-range jumpers Pitt is a formidable team that can beat anyone in the ACC. When they are not, they will only go as far as Burton can take them, which will eventually be limited.
FF’s production is limited by how much defensive attention the outside shooters are demanding. GDG and JDG are really at least a year, and maybe more, away.
For next year, if Hinson returns, and Hugley can find his game, along with Dior and the 3 & 4* recruits coming in, this team could be a dominant force in the ACC and possibly the Madness. If Hugley is not able to recover fully, Capel needs to hit the TP hard for a Big.
agree with everything except the twins as I think both are at most a year away and arguably their contribution has already been good(at least GDG) with minutes
clearly their length along with Fede’s is amazing and they seem to know how to use it at least to defend and shot block and once they all add weight and strength, they could be an incredible trio of contributors
I can’t imagine them as FR and SO becoming SO and JR then JR and SR if they stay and progress like it seems they already are from games 2-4 where they each got exposed
.
I could do without the Hokey Pokey step FT 😦 of one of the twins
LOL
This Bills Defense leaves a lot to be desired! Been watching their sieve for weeks. Thought they were lucky not to get the Steelers. My bad. Miami playing their butts off!
And yes Dior would make a huge and immediate impact. Could be the difference between going one round in the NIT or contending in the NCAAs. I suspect Capel is under strict instructions not to play him as further punishment and good PR.
Think Kentucky or Kansas would have any problem??
Pitt WR Che Nwabuko in his first track meet for the panthers claimed a top 10-mark in the men’s 60m with a time of 6.84. He is currently ranked 5th all time in Panther history.
I thought MajorMajor would like that report after a rough wbb loss today to Clemson.
OT, but as expected, Eliana Posada from the VB team went into the portal and transferred to Cal Baptist. I sure hope we pick up a middle blocker or two. We have only one for next year, and she’ll be a sophmore with little game experience.
We need two middle blockers. More importantly we need a good female assistant coach! The latter must happen before we can get two middles to commit. We have an excellent middle coming in 2024 so one of the middles can be a graduate transfer but the other needs to have at least two years of eligibility.
Posada was not going to play in the foreseeable future, so it made all the sense in the world for her to transfer. Our incoming freshmen OHs will be hard to keep off the court from day one. At Cal Baptist Posada will get lots of playing time.
Unfortunately I don’t believe there will be any QB competition at Pitt come next season. Jurkovec would have to fall off a cliff and be in traction at UPMC before Narduzzi and Cignetti replaced him with any other QB on the roster.
She got no playing time in the 2 years she was with the team. Watching her in warmups, she did not have the speed, height, hops, or strength to compete at the level our team is playing. I’m guessing she was encouraged to leave since PT was not likely and they needed to make room for someone who would help the team.
Agree, no big deal. I think Mumfield will excel if Frank gets the passing game going.
Also, WR is probably one position that a freshman can make a big impact.
And some guys thought JA leaving was no big deal. Not putting Cephas in that category, but Pitt definitely needs help, even if it is only quality depth.
We got an 800 yard receiver in the MAC this past year and it translated to 500 yards. The jump in competition will affect him. There’s a reason he’s in the MAC. Now, if this kid was transferring from Florida, I’d be a little more upset.
After originally signing a letter of intent to play college football with Notre Dame in 1995, Moss took part in a racially charged fight at his high school that left one person hospitalized.[22] On March 23, 1995, Moss had backed a friend in a hallway fight against a white student who had allegedly used racist comments towards Randy’s friend.[21] Moss was initially charged with a felony for kicking the student, but it was later reduced to a misdemeanor. On August 1, 1995, Moss pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor battery and was sentenced to 30 days behind bars at the South-Central Regional Jail in Charleston, West Virginia. He served 3 days in jail starting that night and would be required to serve the remaining 27 days within the following 18 months, after he completed his freshman year in college.[23] Moss was expelled from DuPont and completed his education at Cabell Alternative School.[22]
Notre Dame subsequently denied his enrollment application, but this did not stop another high-profile college football program from giving him a chance. Notre Dame officials suggested he attend Florida State due to the reputation of its coach, Bobby Bowden, for handling troubled players.[24]
Freshman (1995)[edit]
Because of his signed letter of intent at Notre Dame, the NCAA considered him a transfer student to Florida State,[22] so he had to redshirt the 1995 football season.[24]
Redshirt freshman season (1996)[edit]
In 1996, while serving his 30-day jail sentence in a work-release program from 1995, Moss tested positive for marijuana, thus violating his probation, and was dismissed from Florida State. He served an additional 60 days in jail for the probation violation.[24]
Ultimately, Moss transferred to Marshall University, about an hour’s drive from his home.
We’ve had some impactful freshmen WRs in the past — Antonio Bryant and Tyler Boyd come quickly to mind. But our current WR situation makes me wonder whether a freshman WR has ever done well in Coach Cignetti’s offense……
So it looks like Franklin sold the little bit of his soul he had left. Started with his sprint out of Vanderbilt (Nashville) getting out of town before the law caught up with him and continued with his visit to his Aunt in Pittsburgh, that he hadn’t seen in 30 years. What a putz!
If Cephras made his decision based on a few extra NIL dollars, then he is there for the wrong reasons and it won’t work out. Pitt should be glad he didn’t choose the Panthers- maybe some character issues..
Huh? He was alwasy going pro this year. He would have last year if eligible. That is why he took the money. Why play for free when you don’t even want to play? Free used loosely as I’m sure he got money offered from Pitt … just not that LA money. To imply the NIL would have kept him from going pro doesn’t make sense. No one expected him to be at USC more than a season. He only went because he wasn’t eligible for the NFL draft last season.
So Pitt fans were not happy with the WR’s last season except for Jared Wayne who is now seeking entry into the NFL portal.
Was it the poor play of the QB, new WR coach, new OC, lack of recruiting prowess, or a combination of all or some of the above?
I for one think Mumpfield and Means will have really good 2nd years at Pitt – they will now become leaders in the WR room, they’ll have more confidence in the playbook and they’ll have a new starting QB.
I think we’ll see improvement with our TE’s as well – Karter Johnson and Bart will have the same as the two veteran WR’s – they will now become leaders in the TE room (if they already weren’t), they’ll have more confidence in the playbook and they’ll have a new starting QB.
We need to land one or two quality receivers from the portal to build depth in case of injuries. Also, one or two of the younger guys must start to shine.
But I’m not as optimistic about the TE situation. I think GB needs to take a long look in the mirror and up his level of “want to.” I think he has the talent but the level of effort, play in and play out, was suspect to me….
Hoping GB gets a fire lit under him and becomes a big-time weapon.
Pitt needs to move him to the H back position whipple had him playing in 2021. I don’t think he has the moves or speed to separate from his defenders as the TE. Let him catch the ball going downfield from the H back position and he might have a few of our opposition defenders being carried off the field.
I don’t know about “moves,” (do TE really do that much move-wise?) but I always thought Gavin B. looked faster than Krull. That’s why I had such high hopes for him…
Couldn’t agree more MM. If you look at the replays you’ll see how bad his blocking was. Never made the big time block you needed outside. Whiffed is being kind. Other than a couple huge plays he went AWOL this year.
Mean’s problem was catching the ball, but he made a most difficult catch in the bowl game, Mumpfield’s problem was YAC, but he did much better during the bowl game. Hopefully they are better this year, but they are not nearly enough, Pitt needs help from the portal and from guys already on the roster.
It could still happen but who was it who couldn’t stop saying that Bart would enter the portal ASAP? Not speculating but was absolutely sure.
While I didn’t think Santos had a future at Pitt he has really picked it up defensively and with rebounding. Hopefully his shots start dropping again, but he is filling a needed role and getting a few important minutes.
Sure is a pleasure to watch these interviews without trains running in the background. (Make a note EJ)
The maturity is the main thing that has been missing on previous Capel teams, many thanks to the portal and Capel’s work to find these guys. Much respect to these two guys. Also what a difference having multiple guys that can make threes and foul shots.
Just keep taking advantage of the guy with the hot hand each night.
Whoever was pushing the bogus info that Cephus was definitely going to Pitt lost credibility and their word should be doubted for now on. They push these narratives for clicks and obviously know nothing. Probably basing it on twitter and message board posts.
PSN headlines like this, “2024 4-Star TE Dylan Mesman Names Pitt to Top 10”, are comical. Top 10? That is not an accomplishment. Neither is top 5. Write about it when they commit and who cares about the ones that don’t commit.
I’d like someone to ask Frank why he spread the field more during the bowl game. Was it because Patti was better at it or he realized he should have done it more during the regular season. I think his answer would be that they didn’t change anything which is BS.
For one thing Patti had a set of wheels and let it be known on the 2nd or 3rd play from scrimmage…DBs and LBs have to respect a QB who can move..Nick could move in the pocket and sometimes that QB shifting can create space for a receiver or cause a total defensive break down..Nick distributed the ball well…couple of big drops by Bart and Wayne didnt help the QBR….but the other guy had a better arm..yeah..yeah…nrs-with ya!!! It seems the O responded to the QB change…so much to look forward to in 2023…we have 4-5 QBs in the room…I hope Yarnell has a fair chance…he’s lean, accurate and obviously demonstrated some fire in his belly after he was pulled in the Sun Bowl after 2 plays- one being a very well thrown completion…
I have been raving about our incoming freshmen recruiting class for volleyball for a while now. Here is an article at the Pitt volleyball site that further confirms this feeling.
Unfortunately, Pitt only has one middle on its roster at this time. I know of no rotation scheme where a team can play a set with only one middle.
Everyone knows that Partridge was a great hire, keeping him at PITT even greater. (so far)….
How about Narduzzi’s hires at OC? They have to be seen as good, Watson aside. Chaney leaves for Georgia, Canada for LSU and Whipple to Nebraska. Not bad resume’s? Franks hire is to be decided just yet?
Now to coach Randy Bates, a great hire for Narduzzi that’s like the Jellybean of the month club. Bates keeps on giving!
Speca officially commits to Penn State. He would’ve been great for the LB room, but his quotes make it so tough for Pitt with the Nitters’ culture, stadium, sellouts, atmosphere, etc.
And now with the NIL, it shows winning that ACC in 2021 meant nothing to most kids. “How much money can you give me?” That is most important now.
Not saying this about Speca, just how much tougher it is going to be for Pitt moving forward if there isn’t money to give the players.
Too bad when football wasn’t a huge revenue generator and before astronomical TV deals, Pitt was a major player nationally and got out of the business in 1982.
I watched a lot of CCHS football last season, Specca had a so so year, I do not believe he made all state, the guy that really impressed me on CCHS defense is Cole Spencer. We shall see how everything pans out but keep an eye on Spencer.
I doubt every transfer kid is getting big NIL money. I’m sure they are getting some but not all can get big bucks.
I’d love to know how many kids that enter the transfer portal end up getting screwed. They don’t find a home or end up at a lower division unexpectedly just to play again.
Maybe Speca becomes the next John Petrishen…..lot’sa competition over to the east..and from what I have seen winning has made for some very loud crowds at Heinz…
Today is the last day for players to enter the Transfer Portal until the next signing period in May. A team can sign anyone already in the portal at any time.
White will be gone at the end of the year…we need a coach who can recruit and retain players.
Our ladies look like guppies playing against whales. The women’s bb program needs a high-profile, experienced coach because it is the train wreck of ACC basketball.
Big game tonight because we can’t have a January letdown against a markedly inferior opponent. The cardinals are in the ACC trash bin, however, this is a character tester. No excuses, we should blow Louisville off its home court (take no prisoners).
Last night a very interesting score was posted…Wake 87 Clemson 77 (Wake with home court advantage). The top levels of the ACC are extremely competitive making this one of the best seasons for fun in years. We obviously have many tough games in front of us, so tonight we can not have a sleepy, sloppy game.
I read a Q&A in the Post Gazette. Someone asked about Cephus choosing PSU. One answer was that PSU has everything to play for a national championship. That is comical. Even with their outrageous budget, they will never get past the best of the Big10. Ohio State and Michigan own Franklin.
As a Noo Yawka we always say, “Money talks and nobody walks”. So true, because when the money stopped talking (A KRAZY 13 Million)..the young stud started walking.
This gentlemen might not be worth the ego/money trouble. Besides Pitt, I am a big Miami fan. Rashada was supposed to be Miami’s big recruit and possibly battling Van Dyke for the starting qb job. About a month ago, he decommitted from the U and chose Florida. What’s his next move now? Bridges have most likely been burnt.
As for a four year thirteen million dollar deal from the booster club…that is insane. Thank God they pulled the offer. I don’t have a problem with the players making a couple hundred grand off of NIL and booster donations, but the kid hasn’t taken a snap yet and wants 13 mil…I’m starting to agree with one of Reed’s old posts that something is wrong with our society.
I wouldn’t be cheering Bass just yet because if he keeps moving up the prospect charts he may just be asking Pitt to release him from his letter of intent. Today the recruiting game ain’t over until you see them playing on the field in the Pitt uniform. And even then Pitt and others will always be subject to another “Addison Bolt” copycat.
Can’t begin to imagine a true freshman playing any big time minutes at MLB on Pitt’s pressure defense, especially without participating in spring drills.
My bet is Duzzi/Bates will only release Bass to the offense out of their cold dead hands.
Playing WR in Cig70’s offense probably not an easy thing to do either given his limited practice time. The offensive coaches have a big job on their hands getting a new QB oriented with new WRs/TEs and significant OL turnover. Also, I hope to heck Pitt’s WR speedster on the track team gets at least a shot at blowing the top off of defenses they face.
Hopefully Bass is patient and dedicated enough to hit the ground running as a redshirt FR.
“He’s probably going to run low 4.3s, maybe 4.29-4.28 if he’s got a good start,” Pickett said of Addison’s 40-yard dash time.

I accurately predicted James Conner’s, Tyler Boyd’s, Qadree Ollison’s and Kenny Pickett’s 40 time at the Combine. NO WAY do I see Addison running in the 4.3s. My prediction HIGH 4.4s.
Need to rebound (pun intended) and win this game.

Enjoy your Sunday after a Pitt mbb win over GT.

Georgetown has seemed to show little progress under the coaching of Patrick Ewing so….
and of course we all know great players don’t necessarily mean good coaches or good anything else

one thing I’d noticed about Nike from the start of the season is he looks like he has put on weight and strength this year so IF that was any bit related to the current S&C coach, it could be a great sign for what could happen with the twins and others
of course maybe I’m imagining that he looks bigger because when he plays well everything looks closer to perfect 🙂

Very random thoughts about yesterday’s game:
GT made no foul shots. Not one! Nada.
If Blake Hinson makes his 2 missed free throws, Pitt goes 19-20 (95%). Zowie.
If Blake makes 2 more foul shots (4-7), Pitt beats Vandy. If Blake makes 2 more foul shots (3-7) , Pitt beats Clemson for a 14-4 / 6-1 record.
The invitation or non-invitation to March Madness is buried in the details that you can control.

Go Pitt!

Interesting portal comment. Cephas reported NIL at 17k.
There is a freshman transfer from Nebraska, Decoldest (what a first name), with an 84k NIL, who is down to us and Vandy. Kyle Williams, WR from UNLV with a 6k NIL also close.

I can’t imagine them as FR and SO becoming SO and JR then JR and SR if they stay and progress like it seems they already are from games 2-4 where they each got exposed

We got an 800 yard receiver in the MAC this past year and it translated to 500 yards. The jump in competition will affect him. There’s a reason he’s in the MAC. Now, if this kid was transferring from Florida, I’d be a little more upset.

Didn’t Randy Moss play in the MAC?
LikeLike
Only because of circumstance …

That’s my optimistic start to the day.

I read that WVU promoted their RB coach to OC. A position he never held which pretty much means HC Brown is still kind of sort of the OC.
Imagine the outrage if Pitt hired any assistant for OC. Then again, they didn’t exactly hit the jackpot with Frankie.

Speaking of WV, they crushed us at the Pete but haven’t won a conference game yet. Not sure how to interpret that.

To heck with the athletes, we need to get NIL deals for Cdr. Reed, MM, P-cF, and John in SC!

Today is the last day for players to enter the Transfer Portal until the next signing period in May. A team can sign anyone already in the portal at any time.

Jordan Bass has WAY too many skills to simply be delegated to the Defensive side of the Ball.

He has off the chart receiving numbers – goes something like this – SR year of HS 58 catches with 30 TDS and over 1,000 yards receiving.
It is being reports by On3.com that he just received his 4th star and is ranked as a top 50 player.

Hoping that Jordan Bass kicks some … playing FB, while earning his degree at Pitt.

Talented freshman can be utilized in many ways. And if the Bass headlines end up being accurate he could and should be put to work very quickly.

Must win game tonight – with the win we would be in a 4 way tie for 2nd place, one game behind Clemson.
If we lose we tumble to 5-3 and in a tie for 5th place and the stigma of losing to an 0-7 team sitting at the bottom of the ACC standings.
Come on Pitt – hustle and fight hard for a W tonight.

I accurately predicted James Conner’s, Tyler Boyd’s, Qadree Ollison’s and Kenny Pickett’s 40 time at the Combine. NO WAY do I see Addison running in the 4.3s. My prediction HIGH 4.4s.
But Pickett had a much closer perspective Lol.
