  1. Sorry until proven, Miami is Pitt’s kryptonite. Pitt will put up it’s usual, predictable, boring 20-24 points but Miami will score 28 for the win. But Nardummy will be proud to have won the cherished TOP.

  2. Miami will own both lines of scrimmage. Pitt does not have the QB, discipline or coaching to beat Miami.

    Miami 34-17 in a rout!

  3. Miami wins 24-19

TVD will get three big plays for TD’s and he will orchestrate a late drive for the game clinching FG.

Slovis & Cig will have (4) clock eating drives that lead to FG’s and the D will get a TD of it’s own to keep the game close.

While I’ll be rooting hard for a Pitt W, history is steering my prediction for tonight.

Go Duzz! Win one for us fans…

  5. 28-20, the very bad guys

Slow doesn’t finish the game giving everyone hope for next year without that albatross offseason thinking about the idiotic schedule and Cig in combination with him

  6. I have to root against ND who hurt multiple Pitt seasons taking Minchey vs USC that ruined one season taking Addison. Too bad they both can’t lose.

  7. 34-23 Miami

    Here is my other prediction…

Slovis stinks it up the entire game. With Pitt trailing big in the 4th, Narduzzi FINALLY breaks down and brings in Patti (or the RS freshman). He lights it up scoring immediately and ultimately brings Pitt back in a close loss. It leaves Pitt fans screaming over another Miami loss, a disappointing season and what “may have been” had Patti or the RS freshman on come in in the third game or so.

  8. In women’s volleyball action, Pitt handles BC easily in the first set 25-11. A share of the ACC title is on the line with a Pitt win.

  9. Pitt takes second set 25-14. The Panthers are now one set away from a share of the ACC title. The last time they had an ACC title was 2019.

  10. Pitt’s women’s volleyball team are the co-ACC champions! Pitt takes the final set 29-27 with Cam Ennis replacing Julianna Dalton for the set among other substitutions. Pitt has now been the ACC champion or co-champion for 4 of the last 6 years! Well done, Panthers! H2P!

The tournament selections will be announced today starting at 7:30 PM on ESPNU. Hopefully the committee will use RPI as a major factor and Pitt will be in the top 4!

    1. The selection show will be Sunday, November 27th not tonight. Sorry, got ahead of myself. I will write an article about Pitt’s first and possible second round matches and send it to Reed early next week. The first two rounds will definitely be in the Pete next weekend so make your plans accordingly.

    1. I realize that the season has just begun, however, our women’s team suffers from poor recruiting (year after year) and questionable coaching. We had some talented players leave the program (I am not sure why)…..basketball will be a losing proposition for Pitt for both coaches ending their days in the Burg.

  11. Miami wins 28-16

Knowing Cignetti’s offense can’t spread the field for passing, everyone is in the box. Frank continues to stick with two and three WR sets giving the offense no chance to throw. The Pitt D doesn’t score.

  13. Tonight, I’m guessing the Canes win 27-13. We just don’t have the offensive talent to threaten the Canes’ defense, IMHO…

Perhaps if we had a QB who was a run threat? ☹️

    Go Pitt.

  14. OT – Pitt women’s BB team lost to DePaul today 74-59. We had 6 less rebounds and 6 more turnovers and our shooting percentage came back to earth at 34% overall and only 25% from 3.

Coach White, as is his way, played 13 players while DePaul played 8. Three DePaul players scored 63 of their 74 points – disappointing that we couldn’t slow down just a three-player team.

The worse news is we play a ranked Maryland team tomorrow. (Heather continues to foul up the scheduling. Where’s Jamie’s scheduler when you need him? 😊)

    Go Pitt.

      1. Yeah, I figured DePaul must be good to beat Maryland. I was hoping we’re pretty good too.

Not having a true center really hurts. And on top of that we’re playing 3 true freshmen a lot of minutes – though they seem to be doing pretty well…

        Go Pitt.

  15. All about the turnovers…if we get two more than Miami we win. If we get same amount of TOs as the Hurricanes or less we lose.

Also, try to remember the Great Sage (me) wrote on here ages ago that Slovis would suck playing for us. It was written quite plainly in his USC time where he got worse each year then was benched for a true FR to start in his place when he was totally unproductive.

If PN keeps both Slovis and Cignetti around for next season he’s even more of an idiot than he’s been so far.

If you take away the single decent game he had (and yes, in this context it is fine to do so) we see that in his other games he has a 121.0 QB rating which, I believe, sucks.

Even his with the GT game numbers his season rating of 122.8 he has, I believe again, sucked.

The O has zero confidence he can lead the team on or off the field. So why should PN bring him back? Well, because Narduzzi, I believe, sucks overall at getting decent QB1s and QB2s on the roster.

    2. Could t agree more. In the spring game Slovis was awful. He threw the “eyes shut” floater into multiple coverages, under threw, over threw…
Patti played with confidence and made all the throws. Narduzzi has a h@rd on for USC QBs. So for Narduzzi is 0-2 or “undefeated” in his books.

    3. Actually Patti and Yarnell have shown to be gamers and a serviceable option.

      Duzz chooses the wrong option.

Michigan’s 19 year old QB beat tOSU today in convincing fashion.

Dabo may have some Duzz in him if you watched them lose to South Carolina today.

  16. At this time, 7 (35%) have picked Pitt. 13 (65%) have picked Miami. (The 13 included one commentor who said the “Very Bad Guys” would win 28-20. I assumed that was Miami as I believe Miami is a very bad team (as does their fans) win.)

Ambiguous comments are interpreted by me and me only.

  17. I’ve been tailgating since before noon. Started at my daughter’s home in Columbia and moved to one of their friends to see the Gamecocks upset Clemson. Back home while they went to another celebration. I’m getting old.

  18. In an attempt to increase the Pitt 35% number, Pitt 24-Miami 13.
To no one’s surprise (well, at least not mine) the Pitt D holds Miami to under 75 yards rushing and Tyler is rusty, throwing 2 interceptions.

  19. Oops, I didn’t see that the 2 D-linemen stayed in Pittsburgh. My <75 yards on the ground is in jeopardy……….

And also, IF the Pitt-North Carolina game had been called after the third quarter (when, for us, would generally be a good time to end games this year) AND IF win tonight, we would
Have won the Coastal again and no doubt kicked Clemson’s but in the ACC Championship Game.
That would somehow have miraculously vaulted us into the National Championship picture where we undoubtedly would have prevailed. Thank heavens Nate Yarnell was named starting QB starting with the Miami game.

    Now back to the bar…….

    1. So does my Up Next articles except I didn’t do one for Pitt numbers for the Miami game due to my time constraints. The -2.7 would have been the number I reported.

  20. So, I wonder what Clemson fans think of their lousy 5* QB Uiagalelei right now? 8/29 for 99 yards. A 27.7 completion average. Swinney deserves to lose this game keeping that bum in the whole game. I mean, why hurt his feeling when you can crush your whole team instead? 🤪

Slovis could drink a bottle of cheap Bourbon before the game and do better than that….

    1. I wondered that myself. It’s not like Swinney doesn’t have another 5-star sitting on the bench.
