  4. Want to get in early. This may, believe it or not, be our best chance for a win the rest of the year. Cuse and the Dookies looked good, Tarholes give us fits there, ditto a bad Miami team, and the Hoos can throw. Wonder who is more disappointing, us or the U. Us for all the NC talk, or U who is always everyone’s favorite year after disappointing year?
    I feel like I missed the whole season cause I missed past 2 games. Here is a quick snapshot of what my POV is:
    1) Duzz’s mouth writes checks his team can’t cash
    2) Pretty obvious there is a bigger revolving door at OC than there was at the Head Coaching situation before Duzz. Will NOT write what I think of Cignetti. The heck I won’t, He’s bad and I’m tired of 1990’s offense. I’d defend that statement but Itd take so long I’d miss the game.
    3) The d is the bigger disappointment for me.
    4) All that said, I really like us tonight and going forward. For the first time in awhile the d is really healthy. I think we’ll get burned by a couple long qb runs, but then settle down. Healthy d can cover a lot of warts.

  10. Pitt wins. Not sure how because they find some bizarre ways to not put teams away when we are better. Remaining thankful for a very poor ACC. We win by 2.

    Disciplined pass rush. Discipline in the penalty game. Don’t be cute. Hammond. I think that the run game beats the cards down, because we do that consistently under the new coach and two, because the cardinals are over-rated on the run defense because they get many negative yards due to sacks. Take the sack numbers away and you have success with the run.

  135. Look… I know I’ve been a pain in the ass for two weeks ragging on Slowvis but HE is the problem!! Anyone with eyes can see it except Duzz. The rest of Pitt’s team is not bad, maybe even good but we may never know if our stubborn HC keeps him in. This is the exact same guy USC cut to third team. This IS the way he plays! Accept it Duzz and move on!

  209. When you only pass in obvious passing situations you give the advantage to the defense. Louisville adjusted and is dominating the line of scrimmage. If you don’t trust Slovis to pass you need to put in someone else

I know it’s water under the bridge but I want to memorialize that in my humble opinion that the decision to go for it on 4th and 7 way back when in the latter third of the 4th quarter with the score 13-7 was stupid too. Get the 3 points and get a defensive stop and allow the team to get a TD or another field goal for the tie. Who thought Pitt was going to get that first down? Not important now but another indicator that PN does not know what he is doing.

Oh he was at USC, passed for a ton of yards. He has never looked like he was ready for prime time. Another complete Narduzzi failure. Complete failure to plan for a post Pickett world. Get ready for 7 & 5 if we are lucky. I said it before and will say it again last year was an anomaly. Narduzzi is at his best as a 7 & 5 coach. No real growth in the program, no 4 & 5 talent pouring in , no coaching up the 3 stars. But hey, Duzz doesn’t care making millions doing subpar work. Better than hitting the lottery.
