  1. Should be 21 – 0

Two drops by Addison and one by Krull.

But, Cam Bright started and has been a key factor and Blue Mountain Bart has been money with 3 catches and a TD.

    Go Pitt!

Come on – put your boots on and start stomping some Tar Heels.

  4. They know Addison was in Concussion Protocol less than 10 days ago. TARGETING WITH INTENT TO INJURE

  5. Seems like our offense is missing the injured players a little bit. Not protecting or blocking as well and less guys getting open.

  6. Addison called for a fair catch and ran….watch how it unfolds. I was okay with that call. Not targeting, however i do believe it was a late hit regardless of addison running illegally.

    1. I think he’s allowed to pick up the ball and run after it hits the ground.
It was a late hit, which they flagged.

  7. When your island guy either falls down or gets beat physically and falls down, big scores happen. That’s the downside of the island defense. Hopefully it was 100% slip not caused by physicality of unc receiver or they will keep going back to that well.

  8. if sent towards my comment, i think i was typing “it is all fine” unless it was physicality that caused it…that’s how i meant it.

    1. They have called at least 5 on NC but that last call was weak. How does 55 know when the ball when the was thrown? He was playing to the whistle imo…

  9. Two score game at the half – better we are on top – but at least 14 points left on the field by conservative Duzz.

  10. I was really hoping to be up 30 to 7. Figured we could sack them left and right if they keep trying to catch up with the pass.

  11. The tale of two halves. Pitt wins the first half.

Who wins the second. Tar Heels feel like the can score 30 in the 2nd half.

Can Pitt score 15 to win?

      1. My boot has been on the dogs throat cause Duzz can’t seem to stomp the heels.

It gives me an uneasy feeling.

Some fear failure – I fear Pitt does not embrace success.

  12. Pitt is winning but they have squandered two prime opportunities to put this game away.

This game is far from over, hang on Pitt fans, I’m just pessimistic by nature but there is a lot of football left.

The PF on Minor was questionable but why was it a dead ball penalty when the play was still in progress?

    1. Only reason I’m a little apprehensive is cause the ACC refs are so crooked. Ball was still in the Air…no way is that a dead ball penalty. And even the anti-Pitt announcers questioned it being a penalty at all.

  13. I think PITT is playing great but didn’t like the last field goal attempt. You can’t expect perfection in college football or just about any other sport.

  14. Halftime adjustments are key. Mack usually makes good ones and Duzz, well history shows us turtle like efforts.

We need an all out assault on the University of No Class. Sacks and backs. Sack their QB and run our backs.

  15. Does it seem like an Kenny Pickett has had to work harder tonight than usual? Doesn’t seem like receivers have been open much and their protection has been all that great?

  16. whipple has changed his play calling….pass incompletion on 1st down, followed by a run on 2nd down and long….and then you’re down to 1 play to get the 1st down.

  17. The problem is we all called This offense and so did the NC coaches.

Hope I’m wrong and we throw up 21 in the 4Q

  18. watch these Refs on these scrum run plays…..if the pile is moving slightly forward they don’t blow the whistle
While UNC O-line isn’t good on pass blocking, they are HUGE and can move the pile

  20. Looks like the rain will not get to downtown till around 10:45 ish……need one of long run drives after we stop em.

    1. Yeah that is maybe three drives that got crushed by a penalty. We are not playing well enough offensively to afford that

  22. The receivers are not getting open. They need to run the ball as Dan says. And they have forgotten about the TEs. It’s hard to burn the clock with so many incomplete passes.

KP8, Whip and Duzz did NOTHING so far in the 2nd half but sit on the lead.

  25. This coaching staff is terrible. We will probably win but feel like a loss.

No testosterone in this team. They were thinking about partying with the dance team at halftime.

I’m watching the sideline. Heads down. They all know they need a miracle because they have no coaches.

  30. This is a terrible football team and coaching staff! Not as bad as B ball, but that is faint praise.

The defense is embarrassing and has been for 4 games.

Without Kenny, this team has 2 wins at best.

Where are the fan boys making excuses for Heather and Narduzzi? Anyone?

  36. Narduzzi is the worst!!

0 points in the second half against one of the worst defenses in the country. Capel was the celebrity guest offensive coach and nobody told Dumbduzzi. Win or lose this is a disgrace.

  39. The troubling point was with the game and time hanging in the balance, our qb had to go over to whip for the call…..lost 20 seconds. Lost chance to win.

overtime often comes down to fg kicking and ours has had a tough night. maybe nardstop kisses him on the helmet sticker! This game should never be going into OT. We gotta get this!

going to re-watch. carolina’s 110 yards of penalties were helpful.

Or as Ike and I said. “Had ‘em all the way!”

  43. Yes, it was time for the defense to win one. But it is shocking how UNC was able to shut down Pitt’s offense in the second half. Pitt was determined to throw the ball and became very predictable, especially on first down. Izzy was being punished at the worst possible time for his poor pass protection.

  44. Game ball to the defense. When NC had 1st and goal from the 3 and down only 3 points who ever thought Pitt would pull this out? KP gets a small game ball for the overtime.

  45. Do some of you watch college football besides Pitt? This isn’t the NFL.

Pitt wasn’t out coached, was UNC out coached the first half? It’s a chess match. Adjustment after adjustment. Pitt made the final adjustments to win, both on O and D.

Good they got their mojo back on the last two possessions.
    They saved the day.

  47. Yeah, PITT with an ugly win… there you go Rick, one for the ugly column.

You can’t run the same plays over and over without the defense figuring them out.

What PITT did on defense at the 2 and 3 yard line was pretty incredible.

Don’t look now but PITT with a BIG GAME next week.

  48. Huff – you were right. Just got home and trying to dry out.

NRS is completely right above. We were completely out-coached and lucky to win. This staff is lucky to have KP.

All that said, we still control our destiny and I have to hope the kids pull it out because they clearly can’t rely on their coaches.

These guys are about-schemed and out-adjusted in every game. Pathetic. So let’s hope the kids find a way to do it on their own. Remember, we were up 17-0 and instead of stepping in their throats, we patted them in the butt and said, “hey don’t feel bad, you’ll play better in the second half”…

  49. Just a few random observations (opinions): football is always a game of emotion—we had the emotion in the first half and they had it in the second half—fortunately we won the overtime; Krull has dropped way too many passes this year, but I’ve never seen as much emotion from a player as I saw from him after the OT touchdown catch—he has also typically the first to go the whoever has scored a touchdown for Pitt to congratulate him; UNC has far more highly rated athletes than Pitt; UNC has an almost legendary head coach who attracts these athletes; Narduzzi is admittedly not a great gameday coach; each coaching decision/play call that does not work is assumed to be dumb; each coaching decision/play call that does work is good; the average gain per pass (including incomplete passes) was over 8 yards; the average gain per rush was about 3 yards per carry— if you subtract Pickett’s rushing attempts (including sacks and sack yardage lost) then the average gain per rush goes up to about to 5 yards per carry; are we sure that if we ran more we would’ve been more successful?
