  1. Xavier Johnson says “Enough is enough’ to Capel…asks Narduzzi for information on MSU.

JK with the Narduzzi bit 🤧. From ESPN:

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Panthers junior point guard Xavier Johnson is transferring.

The school made the surprise announcement Wednesday. Head men’s basketball coach Jeff Capel said in a statement “it was in everyone’s best interests that we part ways.”

Johnson will enter the transfer portal immediately. The move ends an eventful three-year run with the Panthers for Johnson, who averaged 14.2 points in 81 career games, 78 starts.

Johnson, from Woodbridge, Virginia, arrived shortly after Capel was hired in the spring of 2018 and made the All-Atlantic Coast Conference freshman team in 2018-19. He leaves ranked 30th on the school’s career points list (1,152).

Johnson has been one of the program’s few constants during Capel’s tenure as he attempts to rebuild the Panthers after a difficult run under Kevin Stallings. Although it’s unclear what led to the decision, Johnson was asked to come off the bench rather than start twice this month, including a 32-point performance as a reserve in an upset victory over Virginia Tech on Feb. 3.

The Panthers (9-9 overall, 5-8 ACC) have struggled of late, dropping seven of eight after a win over Duke on Jan. 19. Pitt will visit NC State on Sunday.

  2. Having a new thought. If something smells like a turd and looks like a turd, It’s probably generated out of pitt athletics. Hear me out on this before the game tips.

Pitt struggling and a few of its players are involved in a misdemeanor non-masked car key incident with a slight drive away chaser. Some Pitt players get unofficially suspended. One player hasn’t sniffed playing time. The losses mount. Heather takes a hard stand against Capel and explains that holding these kids out, provides air cover and excuses for the nit wit boss who doesn’t know better. I am seeing the win win for Heather. If the team wins, she says look Gally, I picked the right guy. Despite all these player suspensions he is so great of a coach, we still win. He sure did deserve that big fancy raise I got him.

Next grassy knoll theory. Keep hugley out. Same scenario as above. The longer Hugley stays out, the less exposed the coach is for losing.

Nexter grassy knoll theory, xman. Xman gets forced out. This is a further disruption to the team and sold to Gally that way to protect if there are losses and to provide for how great Capel is, if he wins.

Its a win win for the blouse. If pitt loses, she says to gally, “hey gally, what can you expect when these kids turn out bad and quit. He did such a great job”. Gally doesn’t have a chance against this manipulation. He needs to get his head out of his 1980’s shorts.

    1. You could be right….yellow blouse is after all….a lawyer me think ! She play all angle !

  3. The way things are going in college BB, I would not be surprised so see teams starting to trade kids during the season. Your point guard for my team’s forward. NCAA asleep anyway.

  4. virginia is playing ncst. ncst winning 25-17 with 4 minutes left in first half. Is that the game you are asking about?
