  12. Today’s Debacle is going to be televised by the ACC Network. Which of course is not available in Pittsburgh unless you have Verizon Fios. Which is incredible in itself, that of the many Cable providers, nobody carries the ACC Network. You can watch Pedo State of course and even Houston @ Cincinnati Bearcats

  33. tried to tell everyone in the prediction thread that our run defense is smoke and mirrors because it counts our pass against sacks as negative rush yards, when in fact, it should go to negative pass yards…since the offense is actually passing, not running.

  125. What with the Fenway Bowl (Jerry Palm predicted Pitt in) and the Pizza Bowl in Detroit cancelled this year. Where will Pitt get sentenced to ?

    is the BBVA Kumquat Bowl still functioning ?

    1. Fenway Bowl is one of three new bowls for 2020. One of the other is in Myrtle Beach, SC. The Fenway bowl is a new tie in for the ACC. The pizza bowl no longer has an ACC tie in. Contrary to popular belief, the pizza bowl had tie ins with the ACC & Big 10. Usually the Big 10 didn’t have enough eligible teams to fill all their bowl tie ins (like last year). pizza bowl is now a straight big10 -mac affair.

  156. Remember, FSU was 1-4 in ACC coming into tonight. They are horrid, so glad to see we did what we were supposed to do.

    I do think that their coaches failed calls on 4th down in their own territory, cost them. Glad we took advantage.

    shaky at times, inconsistent, not so great instincts with RPO or run options

    but hindered by weak o-line, lots of drops, poor run game balance, having to exhaust himself running the entire friggin game

    but as all will agree, definitely a warrior and one TOUGH SOB

    I’d not mind him returning but I do think he could do something at the next level for a few years

  170. Congrats to a bunch of guys who definitely did not quit. If they had, as some had said, they could have packed it in when down 14-3. This is still Florida State with a boatload of Florida players. Nice win! We were 2 point favorites.

  173. Wow, a very pleasant Pitt experience. Very happy for our boys. Down 14-3 it could have gone real bad. Knocking their QB out kind of sealed the deal. Our guys made lots of big plays and gave up few.

    Anyone think that KP isn’t by far and away our best QB? Nice to see the O-line play well too.

    Gotta say though, those refs were the worst.

  180. Hey don’t let anyone attempt to belittle our huge victory today. Regardless of Florida State’s record, they have had Top 20 Recruiting classes, in every year going back…forever.

    #3 in 2015
    #2 in 2016
    #5 in 2017
    #10 in 2018
    #17 in 2019
    #20 in 2020.

    Even their worst recruiting class is rated much better than Pitt’s.

    THIS WAS A HUGE VICTORY…..CELEBRATE !!!

      In hindsight the 2016 Pitt loss is the worst (because it kept PSU out of the playoff). But, agree otherwise – no reason on earth to lose to Maryland; especially with returning starters all over the place.

    Let’s not lose sight of the fact this is a down year for the Seminoles. In years past, that 3 game stretch of Miami, ND and the Noles was murder. Not this year…

    Entertaining it was. MD added to the ticket price as well. Franklin was de-pants’d today – he’s in the Sandusky shower as we type…

  186. I’m betting against Pitt rest of the year. Small price to pay for a Pitt win! KP is truly a warrior. Im wondering how much Paris Ford has been responsible for wide open receivers over the middle. He was freelancing a ton. Today’s D backfield , after a slow start, looked organized and covered all receivers. A very pleasant day indeed. My Penn State “friends”? are furious with Franklin and want him gone. Been that way since botched loss vs Indiana. Maryland sp Ed and RPO with Tua tore em apart. It was as much of a slaughter as Pitt ND.

      1. FSUx HC is an offensive minded guy and the Heels D is horrendous.

        The FSUx QB got hot that game and shredded the Heels D.

        When Pitt was down 14-3 today, it was our D that was suffering and the O was sputtering. Then all of a sudden DC Bates made some adjustments and the D took over and shut down FSUx’s three QB’s in dominating fashion.

        Let’s not forget how bad & young the Seminole’s really are though.

    1. Just what this awful Pitt offense needed today. On to the Ramblin’ Wreck. Carter and Izzy pounded out yardage at games end today. The D found it’s legs after a rough start – Wayne and Addison looked good and Turner is the punt returner we need these last two years.

  193. I had fun watching the football game on my computer while listening to the North Allegheny girls volleyball team (on my phone) win the WPIAL championship for the 3rd time in 4 years. They now have the chance to become State Champs for the 4th consecutive year. H2P for putting together a complete game and possibly changing the trajectory of the rest of the season. I missed the last half of the 4th quarter so I am looking forward to watching it tomorrow.

  194. Hidden fact… All the Florida players getting a win on the road against FSU is really BIG. Validates their decision to come north to play at PITT. Now they have to go back down south and beat GT.

    Javonte Royal is a big D-Back. There is some good talent back there.

  198. FWIW, I wrote on this site last week that it was quite possible that Pitt finishes with a winning record, and they needed a bye in the worst way. If you haven’t noticed by now, the ACC (less Clemson) is whacko , especially the Coastal. And even moreso this year. In fact college football this year is crazier than ever.

    BTW, you may want to check out just how Va Tech lost yesterday …. and I’m not talking about the final FG, but the play before. If ever I saw an SOP … this was it. I loved it.

    1. Carter looks like the back who should be in there on short yardage and near the goal line. Yet we don’t see him used in those situations. Makes no sense to me…

      Izzy and Carter actually look a bit promising for the future, but we have no tailback as quick as FSU’s starting QB, or for that matter ND’s mop-up-time tailback. That’s a sad state of affairs…
