  1. Very nervous about this game. No other reason than we have seen pitt lay eggs in games like this forever.
Also I think the pressure to win is a little higher for pitt/Narduzzi.

  2. Wendell Davis on crutches and out. It looks like Pine all the way.—-Krull not available today who knows why. It’s not Covid because Pitt announced they have no Covid absences today.

  3. PSN says that Krull’s number 7 has been reassigned to DJ Turner. Seems an odd thing to do if it is just for one or two games. Seems like something you do only if he is no longer with the team. I would be happy to be wrong. Wright also out for the game. Not a good day for the tight ends, but what else is new.

  4. So Krull, Wright and Zilinskas out. Moraga the only Tight End? I guess Kaymar Mims as well. Get ready for a lot of four WR sets?

  5. Not much zip on Pickett’s passes. He’s not wearing his regular white glove on the right hand. He’s wearing the alternate uni glove. Just saying

    1. I’m telling you it’s the glove. He needs to take off that yellow glove and get to his regular glove

  6. Sometimes me please tell me why Whipple would call a pass play to the right side with a prleanut running back blocking a 260 defensive end.

  7. Terrible call on the throw to the end zone! They have an opportunity to grind the clock and score but the pass puts them in a bad spot. And the drive dies..

  8. cannot keep the D on the field all day. Kenny not playing like the most underrated QB in nation. Whipple with his usual abandonment of the run

  9. That was clearly PI on Mack. Can’t imagine what the announcers were thinking. The CB just threw him down by Mack’s shoulder.

  10. Everything we heard about needing to score points today?

Yeah. And it’s a good thing we put some on the board already.

Keep pounding Israel and take some shots downfield

  11. Very poor assignment match up at the line of scrimmage. No one touched him. Great way to let Louisville right back in it.

  13. Pitt can run and mix the pass into its play calling and run the Louisville defense into exhaustion and keep their offense on the sideline.

The only ones going to stop the Pitt offense is the Pitt offense itself.

Hence the first play of the 2nd qtr.

The commercials on the ACC network are probably regional but I have to tell you most of them are pretty lame here in the south.

  14. Whipple’s playcalling raises the question if he is on the Louisville payroll. At least Occam’s Razor forces one to ask that question.

Passing the football begets certain risks. But how risk averse is HCPN &Co. pounding sand by running the ball 1-2-3rd & long?

find a decent player— MAJOR recruiting failure.

    1. Tough to tell. He’s not playing that bad but is he getting everyone lined up right? He certainly gutted out that last series. Was limping at the end

  18. I don’t understand Addison. Two fair catches on kickoffs at the 3. Catches it three yards deep in end zone and decides to take it out…

    This is a huge game.

Pitt needs some major adjustments come half.

  22. ISnore – we were sloppy last week and sloppy most of last year. It is Narduzzi’s style. Despite the hard nosed persona, there is not consistent focus or discipline on this team. He can’t or won’t demand it because there is nobody to take your job as a starter given the complete lack if talent on offense.

  24. Once again, Pitt has no TE or RT. Pickett is taking too long to release. And there is no running game, of course. And the play calling sucks. I could go on..

      1. Not making enough. Only enough meat for ten. But Narduzzi needs some upstairs for this game. Adjustments will make or break this team. I hope they don’t fall asleep at half.

Undisciplined and sloppy play so far. Like their coach.

The line has been weak for a long time amd the recruiting has sucked. So this will be a weakness for years to come

We just can’t seem to recruit for certain positions. Borbs is a has been or maybe a never was and Salem is great as a cheerleader with his posts but his re recruiting is grade C.

Another stooopid penalty as I am typing and it makes me Krazeee.

    1. This reminds me of Louisville Pitt at Heinz 3 years ago. Pitt was hanging w Ville first half but Lamar Jackson, first play from scrimmage went long for a TD.
      It was all over.

  30. Just some first half observations:

Louisville QB telegraphs his throws and is not too accurate. Their receivers have been open downfield.

Pitt needs to mix up their play calling on offense, the running game is there.

Louisville is explosive but their offensive line can’t control our defensive line.

    The turnover was very questionable.

Our offense is the weak link hence it is a reflection on the OC.

Too many mental mistakes today on the defense and offense, these mistakes are keeping Louisville in the game.

I expect Pitt to win today, they are doing their best to keep Louisville competitive.

I also muted the broadcast I can’t take the 2 clowns and the eye candy sideline reporter. They bring nothing in regards to offering any insight into the game.

Camera work following game action is pathetic.

We should be up by at least 14 points.

Krull is on crutches on the sideline but who cares.

Pitt does not have a killer instinct.

Pitt winning, but left a lot on the table point-wise.

  33. At the half …
ESPN gives Pitt 60% chance to win game

Pickett 161 yards, 2 td. Most on the Mack play though. Pickett has not looked super sharp

Addison 5 for 55 with a potential game saving catch. On pace for first 100 yard game

Cunningham pas passed for just 82 yards

    Atwell 3 for 33

Pitt on pace to hold the cards to under 400.

The question is how will Louisville’s offense adjust?

    Pitt rushing :

AJ Davis 4-23 (out with head injury)
    Izzy 4-22
V Davis 6-10 (and that included a 20 yarders to start the game)

Sling is much better value than Youtube TV. (At $65USD for the base plan, I’ll take the commercials you speak of — the game is still “Live.”)

As stated earlier, I’m enjoying the FREE TRIAL @youtube TV. But I’ll not be found scooping $65 monthly, no sir.

Hamlin not playing his best game.
Lots of depth issues…down to two running backs and one tight end.
Kenny has a strong arm and a slow head.
And why, why, why do we suffer so many procedure penalties?

I have enjoyed a lot of your comments today (everyone). However, whenever I go to “Like” another’s comment, the page needs a reset and no indication afterwards proves that my “Like” was documented.

Also, MM, whenever I leave a comment I have to renter my user and password and although it’s saved to auto and “remember me,” well…

In any event, it’s a recurrent nag. But it’s been fun hanging out with you POVers today!

Because I HAVE SO MANY COACHING COMPLAINTS AND A BEEF WITH KP, THAT I’M NEAR READY TO EXPLODE (and take down innocent lives in the process.
