POV Roundtable Call-in; 11-8-17

We will have our 9pm Roundtable discussion this evening as usual – but since we have already discussed the last game we played be prepared to bring items and subjects of your own to the table.  Login directions at the end of this article.

Here is a contest of some sort sent to The POV from Allstate:

Comment: Allstate Provides Fans with Fun Tailgate Experience and a Chance to Win a Trip to the National Title Game

WHAT: The Allstate Tailgate Tour, an interactive fan experience visiting college football stadiums across the country, is heading to Pitt this week as the Panthers takes on the UNC Tar Heels on Thursday, November 9, 2017.

At the tailgate, fans can take part in a variety of family-friendly games, relax in the lounge area and enter an on-site sweepstakes to win a replica helmet from the home team.

ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit is helping Allstate bring fans together off the field for the sake of good through Allstate’s #sweettalk initiative. Throughout the season, fans are encouraged to join the conversation by using #sweettalk to say something nice about an opponent for a chance to get a shout-out from Herbstreit himself. At the tailgate, fans can also participate in the #sweettalk video confessional for that same chance.

Everyone who trades smack talk for sweet talk via the video confessional or on social media using both #sweettalk and #sweepstakes will be entered for a chance to win a trip to the National Championship!

WHEN: 4:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.Thursday, November 9th

WHERE: Heinz Field (Art Rooney Ave)
100 Art Rooney Ave,
Pittsburgh, PA 15212

Here is a great opportunity to watch the Virginia Tech game with some new Pitt fans.  My good friend Bob Jefferies who runs the great “Real Pitt Football Talk” Facebook group has arranged with Archies Tavern on the Southside to have a VT Game Watch Day.

As it stands that is the one weekend I have free and I may just drive up for that as I can’t make either tomorrow’s NC game or the Miami game.  So – I’ll keep you all updated and maybe we’ll have a POV contingent there also…

Either way if you are on Facebook please check out that group of knowledgeable Pitt fans – Bob writes great posts even a few times a day…and I have been bugging him to drop us and article or two about his own experiences with past Pitt football and our players.
